The Wendy is a passive hoist and is unique in this category. The Wendy will automatically find the point of balance of the caretaker, providing him or her with a high feeling of comfort and safety. This hoist is the first hoist in The Netherlands with the GQ-quality mark. Next to this the Wendy has the KBOH,T01 and T02 quality marks.
Since the Wendy has a high, low and long working range, it gives a lot of possibilities for transfers. Placing someone in the back of a chair, or in the middle of a bed is not a problem at all with the Wendy. It is even possible to do a transfer starting from the ground, without the caretaker coming into contact with the frame. This is what makes the Wendy a unique hoist.
The Wendy can be delivered with several types of hanger bars. We recommend however to use the 4-point hanger bar. This hanger bar can be delivered in the balanced or the powered version. The advantage of a 4-point hanger bar compared to a 2-point hanger bar, is the way the caretaker is positioned. The 4-point hanger bar creates the possibility to transfer the caretaker in a lying or a sitting position. The 4-point hanger bars are developed to give the caretaker an optimal feeling of balance and stability during a transfer. By transferring a caretaker in a lying position, the caretaker's body weight is divided in the most optimal way, hereby avoiding pressure on painful or vulnerable body parts.
The Wendy can be delivered for care takers with a weight up to 130, 160 or 250 kilograms (285, 350 or 550 lbs.). Next to this an raised version of the Wendy can be delivered. |
